About Croatia Lavender

It was an snowy and cold day in January 2009. When I sat down to have an pleasant Sunday launch with my family , since we had some land that nobody uses , after the first meal I dropped a bomb on them, saying:“ ...We Are going to breed lavender, and make our own Lavender Farm....“ Since we didn't know absolutely nothing about Lavender , they laugh at me , after an hour or two of launch on my expense , we started to talk , and made a deal . If I can make the proper preparations , find out the markets and find plants, learn how to properly PLANT, BREED, HARVEST and finally SELL LAVENDER and LAVENDER PRODUCTS they will help me . And so it was, I have spent hours and hours online , investigate, contact people that do Lavender Since Croatia is Mediterranean country filled up with Lavender farms I didn't have much trouble getting plants , I analyzed the soil and we got the GO sign And so it started... We picked up the paste very fast , and soon 3500 plants were in the ground This is ho the field looked like in Spring of 2010, coming to life , it was a perfect sight , result of you're own manual labur After that a summer came and it was time to consider Harvesting , We plead our firiend's to put their beehives in our field to try out LAVENDER HOONEY , the field was buzzing like an chooper, a great sight to see Very Simple Image Gallery: Could not find folder /home/dakson/public_html/lavender-croatia.com/images/stories/tjedan prije bere/ The field was ready and the crew also , since it hard woking thing , we have prepared some authentic Croatian meals for the crowd , to keep them well fed Day 1 flew by , it was hot and we gain a nice tan :) Again problems with the weather in the Day 2 , the brawl hit us hard , and we had to work in unhuman conditions to save the rest of the Harvest Finaly it ended ok , more than ok , we had Harvested about 2tons of Lavender Flower and got about 180kg of Whole Dried Flower!!!
